Just a quick post to say hi and I have missed reading all of your blogs this week. I have had one longgggg crappy week being so sick I have hardly been out of bed.
For those of you that don't know, I was diagnosed with diabetes last November. I have been taking meds but the doc has made some changes trying to get my sugars under control. My body is not liking the new meds so I have been sick all week.
Hopefully things will settle down soon.

I've been through the same thing.
Chromium supplements help as well as an herb called gymnema.
Get better soon.
By the way, a atkins type diet can really do wonders.
Sorry to hear you've been sick, Flake! From what I hear, diabetes is a horrible disease! I'm hypoglycemic myself, and so I live with the constant fear that I COULD become diabetic at any time.
My aunt was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago, and very quickly degraded to having to take insulin 3 times a day. Then she found this product called Ambertose and now, after taking it for over a year, is off needles completely! If you're interested, I can send you some information on it.

hammer - thanks for the advice. I did mention the atkins diet to my doc, but he has concerns with it. I will keep in mind what you said and thanks again.

Yikes!!! Never fun to be sick for ANY reason. Im sorry for your struggles right now! My mother has diabetes too, but she is totally non compliant,,,you would think she knows better she IS an RN after all...crazy mom...oh, thats probably where I get the CRAZY part...lol
